Father-daughter dances are a great way for girls and dads to bond…until they arrive at the dance. Then the girls run crazy with their friends, and the men cling to the walls like they did in junior high.
Still, service units like the idea of engaging dads and other men in their Girl Scouts’ lives. So what can you offer that’s NOT a father-daughter dance?
Here are 29 Father-Daughter activities that aren’t a dance:
- Bowling
- Science day
- Movie date
- Pinewood derby
- Fishing
- Laser tag
- Mr. and Lil Miss Fix It
- Canoeing
- Cake decorating
- Pumpkin carving
- Ballgame

- Board game night
- Video game challenge like Mario cart or guitar hero
