Indiana Bicentennial Hiking Challenge

This out of shape scout leader has one goal in mind: And it’s for her health.

Retired Junior Girl Scout hiking badge

This year, I took a leap of faith. I publicly announced me (and the scouts in my family) would be doing the Indiana Bicentennial Hikers Challenge through the Hoosier Hikers Council.

Our goal? To set foot on 200 miles worth of unpaved hiking trails in Indiana in 2016.
(Kind of putting our original goal of 40 miles for the retired Junior hiker badge to shame.)
For me, it’s proof I can once again become active. For the kids, it’s the pride of a patch if we are among the first 500 Hoosiers to complete the challenge.

I’ll be sharing some of our adventures and Indiana’s treasures along the way!
