Here’s how simple it can be:

Prepare cupcakes.

Take edible gold or silver paint and spray Girl Scout trefoil or shortbread cookies over a paper towel. Allow to dry.

Frost cupcakes and use the painted Girl Scout cookies as an edible topping for your cupcakes.

We did this for my daughter’s Gold Award celebration cake and cupcakes. Aren’t they cute?
