As a Cadette leader, bringing new parents and their Girl Scouts up to speed on opportunities available through Girl Scouts can be a challenge.
In middle school, our girls are getting to be the age where they need to learn to document their efforts to prepare for scholarship applications when they get older.
To help leaders and parents out, I’ve compiled two reference handouts:
- A Cadette service and leadership award quick guide. This download goes is an overview document of the available service and leadership awards and requirements. (It does not replace the detailed requirements from the Girls Guide to Girl Scouting for Cadettes; rather, it is intended as a quick listing of what’s needed for a girl to make an initial decision on whether this award may be something she would like to work toward.)
- A Cadette community service and leadership award record. This download is for troop tracking with the intent of having it as an available resource for your Girl Scouts as they get older. Already, they are learning about how to write a resume and soon will be looking at college and scholarship applications. Having documentation of what community service and leadership training and awards have been received by your Girl Scout will help them through this process.
Both items are available for download through my download center on Teachers Pay Teachers. Moneys earned by the purchase of products through the download center or through affiliate links help support our scouting adventures.
