The Root Beer Song must be a Boy Scout invention, as I had never heard it before until my son’s Cub Scout Day Camp end-of-the-week campfire. But it’s cute, catchy and everyone likely knows the tune.

(Sing to the tune of: “Do-re-mi”)
Do (Dough) – I use to buy my root beer
Re (Ray) – The guy who pours my root beer
Mi (Me) – The guy who drinks my root beer
Fa – A long way to the john
So – Let’s have another root beer
La – Let’s have another root beer
Ti (Tea) – No thanks, I’m having root beer
That’s why I have no dough, dough, dough, dough. (repeat)
