Need a simple Christmas craft with the added benefit of decluttering your makeup cabinet? Clean out your nail polish collection, and your troop can quickly make these DIY swirled ornaments for their Christmas tree.
What you’ll need for this holiday craft project:
- Clear glass or acrylic ornaments (Look at an art reuse store, Goodwill or other recycling place for inexpensive finds if you have the luxury of time.)
- Old nail polish (I instituted the “nail polish amnesty program” at home to exchange old bottles for a newer one.)
- Newspaper (just in case…)
How to create the ornaments:
Remove the top from your ornament. Drop several drops of the nail polish into the ornament. Turn the ornament to make the colors swirl. When the ornament is fully covered inside, you can air dry and simply replace the top/hanger on the ornament.
