My Muggles in my Girl Scout troop are going to love this: I’m anxiously awaiting the Amazon delivery of The Unofficial Guide to Crafting the World of Harry Potter: 30 Magical Crafts for Witches and Wizards-from Pencil Wands to House Colors Tie-Dye Shirts.
When my friend told me about this book, I admittedly dismissed it. After all, I had seen scores of wand crafts and Griffindor shirts that you can make on Pinterest.
But I finally got online and checked out the preview and the table of contents, and I am so excited about this craft book! There are Harry Potter themed crafts for school, your bedroom or locker, beauty, and for wearing.
Butterbeer lip balm and Pigmy Puff Bath Fizzies (hmm…spa badge?)You could even wrap these HP projects with a cooking day, using recipes from Magical Summer Sweets: Harry Potter Inspired Recipes or Magical Menu: Harry Potter Cooking for Christmas Meals. Enjoy!

I need to amend this to add that I did get the book in the mail, and I love it. I’m debating how best to use this with my scouts – on our Harry Potter themed overnight or a fun twist on the retired Spa Interest Project! 🙂

I had fun playing with the pigmy puff bath bombs this weekend. You know, in the name of testing it out for a troop project. 😉
