Girl Scout Council’s Own Badges & Patch Programs 2018

Girl Scout Council’s Own badges and patch programs offer just another way for troops to explore activities and for girls on vacation to explore where they are visiting. They’re a great accompaniment to the national Girl Scouting program!

Many of the Girl Scout councils have radically revamped their Council’s Own badges and patches, so an updated resource list is here. Please check with the council regarding availability of badges and patches, as these may change.

    • This is terrific, thank you! It is a work in progress – the first batch had the ones available through the GS Store so scout families could take advantage of the free shipping sale that ended yesterday! 🙂 Working on rolling out the rest. It is definitely a labor of love!

  2. How about the badges from Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council in Idaho? There are a few, one is an outdoor series which is really good.

  3. Florida panhandle discontinued all council’s own badges in 2013. I was told this directly from the GS store in Pensacola this past week when I stopped in to pick up a few of these badges. 😦

  4. Hi! Thanks so much for compiling this info! What council is new york city in? We are looking to plan a trip and thought a council own badge might be a good place to start.

  5. I am looking for a Brownie Try-It that deals with Winter. We live in Michigan and we have more than enough Winter for 5 activities to make it work a try-it and not just a fun badge.

  6. I am so very happy to have found this site. We have reached out to several councils asking if patches are still available and if we can somehow purchase them. Waiting for replies.

  7. The ‘badges’ listed for Commonwealth council are really patch programs for all levels. Also- they don’t have the requirements for them. I have been told people who buy the patches are just making up their own requirements, which does not make much sense for out of towners! I am working with the council to see if we can reestablish requireemnts. Plus recreate some others that used to exist.
