Want a low-stress introduction to robotics that can be done during a troop meeting? Today’s robotics kits offer easy to follow introductions to technology, and some can be quite affordable for groups.

I’ve been looking for ideas since my Juniors attended a robotics session at day camp this summer.  Abs while they feel in love with the Ozobot and Lego robotics, it simply wasn’t something I could replicate within a troop setting.

But I was encouraged when I found out Amazon is having a 40% off sale today on robotics toys, and some of these now become very affordable options for our troop!

This 4M Doodling RobotBuild a robot that draws for your Junior drawing badge would be a fun addition to the Junior Drawing badge.  It’s recommended for ages 8 and older.

Currently listed at $8.45, the 4M Doodling Robot only requires a AA battery for extra supplies. Reviews recommend replacing with Rosary thin markers if yours dry out. There are also great tips on the Amazon page comments.

Working on your Wonders of Water Journey with your Brownies? This 4M Salt Water Powered Robot Kitbuild a salt water powered robot for your Brownies Wonders of Water journey could be a fun tie-in.

Currently listed at $7.79, the robot kit includes everything you need to create a salt-powered robot and is recommended for ages 8 and older.
